We are the first hospital in Slovakia specialising in orthopaedics. Our focus includes diagnosing and surgical treatment of a wide range of orthopaedic disorders. We provide super-standard professional care for a wide range of orthopaedic diseases from extremity deformations via sport injuries, joint diseases, tendon damage, meniscus and cartilage disorders to joint replacement therapies. We already comply with a number of EU criteria that will apply in our country since 2011.

History

The hospital was founded in 2005. The first permit we received concerned one-day surgeries with outpatient care in orthopaedics. Soon, thanks to the first successful surgeries, extension of the space and completion of the hospital, our facility was granted the statute of a specialised hospital in 2006, thus becoming the first hospital in Slovakia specialising in orthopaedics. Our objective was to focus on locomotive organs and provide to a wide range of patients complex conditions and quality not provided by any other hospital in this way. Our diligent work and good results built our reputation with the individual insurance companies, both state-owned and private, and we soon executed contracts with most of them. Until 2010 the hospital provided health care to nearly 2,000 patients. Our orthopaedic surgery provided treatment to over 6,000 patients. In the recent period the hospital has extended its care to foreigners as well, including not only EU citizens, but also U.S. and Arabic citizens.

We focus on implantations of artificial joints of the latest generation. We carry our computer navigated operations. We dispose with x-ray and ultrasonic diagnostic equipment of one of the best world brands and train our surgeons in the best state-of-the-art surgical and therapeutic procedures.
